FL Studio 10

The new Fl Studio release now in use, EXCITING eh?

With the brand spanking new version of Fl Studio (well May 19th, 2011 is not so new now) I have begun implementing the new version in all of my recordings as well as utilizing software like Audacity and dabbling in ProTools 9 HD. So in essence my recordings should be hiking in quality considerably, my only constraint now is time and money (sighs). The addition of an Alesis IO/26 in combination with the MacBook Pro should produce some interesting and much more advanced pieces of music. Already I have begun the first sessions for the prologue of the new album and it’s very promising.

I really have to applaud the developers of the software such as FL Studio and ProTools (Image line & Avid) for making music production such a lightweight and streamlined process. I think a great multitude of people need to recognize they wouldn’t have a lot of their fantastic music without the groundbreaking efforts that these companies put in. So thank you Image Line and Avid, I only hope my musical efforts fulfill what you had planned for the end users.

Hi folks.

Long time no see or hear. Things have been hectic of late so music has been slow in progress but rest assured I will be producing again soon. I have recently acquired a Alesis IO26, so I can now hook up my Macbook to all sort of mics and instruments. I have started producing new material for an epic new album (yet to be announced) and Bionique is as ever still being finished. In the mean time Qeimin will be sheltering some new releases for the autumn. A new full length LP will be in the works shortly and will take on a new style of ambiance as opposed to the usual dark textures, that will be fully EPK’d shortly and A new EP in the melancholia series will see light around early winter time…

Waves Of Abstraction EP Released

The new EP is now in the open for you to hear, two ambient tracks that I have worked on over the early spring make up this small journey. The first track is a thick strings and flute texture that slowly evolves over the ten minute duration while the second is a much more quiet and unassuming work with an eerie edge.

A new EP is in the works to continue the melancholia series. This time the music will be constructed from small guitar and synth sounds used to create multiple textures and sine-waves. As usual it will be deep and dark in tone and a long single evolving piece as with the first installment. Release can be expected around late March and will be available through all the usual channels i.e. Last.FM, Grooveshark etc…

In preparation for the imminent re-recordings of my first albums “Ancient Imagery” & “Elementum” I have taken the demo versions offline, you can still hear the previews and add the songs to your library on last.fm but the albums are no longer available for full download. Watch this space for more news on the recording of these albums in 2011.

Time Well Spent, Now For Other Stuff…

Okay now things have settled after the latest release (Sub Humus) my other projects are now receiving some due attention. The album ‘Bionique’ from my work as George Tunnah is being drawn out gradually. There are other promising works in the distance. I may be asked to compose music for a short animation as Qeimin, this would included my usual atmospheres and more melodic elements to compliment movie style themes… Also recently a piece of music improvised in the office was used as part of the promotion for Cre8ion’s marketing strategy.
